After finishing several events earlier in the day I went to visit Kam Tin Flea Market which is just next to the Kam Tin Train Station. When I passed by a handcrafts store, I saw this beautiful Guanyin statue being displayed inside the cabinet. I felt an urge to purchase it for my mom and I knew that she would love it. The price tag was HK$800. As an exploring gesture, I enquired with the shop owner if there could be any discount for me. Without any hesitation, she gladly replied that she would let me have it at HK$450. In all honesty, her generous discount was indeed exceedingly beyond my expectation. Somehow, I felt it was only right that I pay HK$500 instead. The deal was swiftly and happily done! I guessed it was all down to fate “緣份”.
