過去兩日的新聞裡面，都提到人們排隊認購中銀香港發行的“中國銀行百年華誕紀念鈔”。面值為100元的紀念幣發行價為150元，但轉售的價值已經提高了10倍！這個獲利機會讓人們為之瘋狂並湧向指定發售的各個中銀分行輪候購買。雖然香港人大部分都有知識而老練，也往往知道自己應該如何作出合理的選擇，但一些特定時候、特定事物也會令他們變得敏感且容易受到牽引，上述這個基於金錢利益的現象就正正是一個實例！
What are people thinking?
In the last two days of news, people have been queuing up for the centenary bank notes issued by the Bank of China. The face value of a 100 dollar note is being offered at $150 but then the resale value is now ten times higher than its value! This made people so crazy that they queued up outside all the branches where the centenary notes were offered for sale. Although the majority of the population in Hong Kong are knowledgeable, sophisticated and very often able to formulate their views sensibly, there are times when they are some how quite susceptible and emotionally affected, such as this for instance when they are motivated by pecuniary interest!
