從2010年起,香港律師會設立了公益法律服務和社會服務獎,目的在鼓勵各會員積極地參與各種免費法律諮詢工作和社會服務。這種活動趨勢現正在逐漸建立。今年，我們有超過60人都分別達到了金、銀、銅獎的準則，我亦很自豪自己為社會提供了一百多小時的免費法律服務而被授予了金獎。唯一尷尬的是，身為香港律師會會長，我必須要在所有獲獎者的證書上簽署，包括我自己的。
Probono Service Award
Since 2010, the Hong Kong Law Society has established the Probono and Community Services Awards with the aim to promote awareness to its members and to get them to participate more in various free legal advisory works and in community services. The momentum of such campaign is now gradually building up. This year, we have had more than 60 individuals who have satisfied the recognition benchmarks respectively set for Gold, Silver and Bronze Awards and I am proud of being awarded with the Gold Award for recognition towards my involvement and for having provided more than a hundred free legal service hours to the community. Embarrassingly though, as the President of the Law Society, I am obliged to sign the certificate to all awardees and that includes myself.
