A Mini Talk to the Wisemen

Shortly after returning from my overseas trip to HK, I immediately started resuming all my hectic schedule of work. Meeting the VP Li to hear his words of encouragement; British Consul General for my view on the mid term election; reviewing the submission to NPCSC on Congo case. But the most worthwhile unteractrion was with the Y’s men’s club on last Thursday. The party was small but a solid one at which I met my colleagues in the profession and also elites and wisemen from other trades and professions. All of them are of high intellectuality. I spoke about how to re-understand our strengths and talents in HK and what the implications of the recent visit by VP Li to HK. I said we have a mission to transform the mainland and take the country to higher position in the international hierarchy. The time table for accomplishing the mission in strict terms was in my belief is 15 years which is the time when the 3rd generations since the opening policy was adopted in 1978 would be put in charge of the politics and economy of the mainland. My speech was not recorded but I am sure they have been impressed in the minds of those who heard me at the luncheon. Amongst them, there was a young man of the 90’s said he was glad to have joined the luncheon talk with me.
