Standard Charted Marathon run- 5-2-12

It all started early in the morning of the second Sunday of February where Conrad and I joined the 10km run.  It was our first attempt and we were pretty excited about it. Obviously, we were not alone. There were 70 thousand runners who participated in this sport and although I was not sure how many of them were in our section at the time (I was told at the end that there were at least 35 thousand runners in the 10km run!) we hoped that we could finish it within 1 hour and 30 minutes! See you later.

Arriving Tai Koo Shing

After a continuous 3km jog, I slowed down a bit for some sightseeing and for a quick photo session.

Turning around

The first 5km was easy, no sweat!

On the fly over

Along the way there were ups and downs but we subsequently reached the fly-over towards the finishing point at Victoria Park.

Round the bend to the park
The glorious morning sun shone on us as we made our way to triumph.

Wow that is it!

There was a choice of either “Blue” for democracy or “Green” for the environment at the end of the run! Guess what I chose!
