我和張達明先生當年一同入讀皇仁書院，並在不同的年份入讀香港大學修讀法學專業證書。我們都選擇了投身法律界成為事務律師。我們是香港律師會的同僚，憑良心向會員提供服務。雖然我們在一些議題上存有不同的意見，例如就填補立法會空缺的諮詢一事，但我們仍能和平理性地討論，這正是真正體驗香港言論自由的方式。

Eric Cheung and I went to Queen’s College together. We both went to the University of Hong Kong for the PCLL but in different years.  We both chose to enter into the legal profession as solicitors.  We are colleagues at the Law Society and we serve the profession with conscience.  On some issues, such as the consultation paper for the arrangements on filling up the vacancies in the Legislative Council, we agree to disagree and that is exactly the way in how we act and it is like this that we truly experience the freedom of expression in Hong Kong.
