“Hei Lo” or “Halo”

I was pleased to be invited to preview Hei Lo which is also known as King Yin Lei this afternoon.  This was part of the antiquity protection campaign launched by the government and the owner of this building was granted with a new piece of land adjacent to the lot in order to have this preserved and saved from demolition in 2009.

District Councillors from Shatin led by their chairman, Pang Cheung Wai and others, Mr. Hung, Ms. Christine Cheung; Cheng Chor Kwong; from Island, like Randy Yu etc. were there.  This latest good attempt in cultural preservation by the government is to be applauded.  One may not be surprised to see halos appearing on top of the heads of those who have the courage and selflessness in serving the best interests of the community in Hong Kong.
