Now TV interview on 22-3-13

I am always willing to accept an invitation for an interview at short notice. Really it is a phenomenon in politics. One has to be responsive to current and sometimes sudden events. This time, I was asked to comment on the government’s recently announced land reclamation program consultation. I attended it in the capacity as the chairman of the Tuen Mun Rural Committee. My comments focused on whether it would be desirable to fill up the beach of Lung Ku Tan for making room to house a population of 40 thousand odd in an apparently toxic environment. The government should really come up with a comprehensive plan for developing Lantau Island, especially the southern part thereof since we have an excellent environment with sufficient space there which would give us a sustainable development for the next 20 years at least.
