我要感謝那些為2011年8月3日舉行的晚會作出巨大貢獻的人們，沒有他們的幫助和支持，我們的晚會不會取得那麼大的成功。
超過1,200人獲邀出席當晚的聚會，其中包括當地的村民、屯門的居民，以及他們從遠方趕來的親朋好友，總共有127席。晚上8點，在一個簡單儀式之後，聚餐正式開始了。緊接著開始的當然是娛樂節目。除了以往的嘉賓歌手獻唱之外，我們還帶來了一場脫口秀，其構思就是直接借用大衞萊特曼的脫口秀節目。脫口秀節目所涵蓋的內容為：“屯門之光”、“屯門精神”、“屯門之寶”、“由你開始，從屯門出發”。在節目中，超過20位的尊貴嘉賓被邀請到舞臺上，和觀眾們分享他們的經驗。
最值得人關注的是尊敬的梁振英先生的出現，他和我們談起了他新出版的書，“奔向未來”。當梁先生給參加聚會的村民和當地居民贈送親筆簽名的書籍時，晚會達到了一個新的高潮。梁先生談到，他會認真地檢討已經推出近40年的小型屋宇政策，希望在不久的將來能夠作為一個更加高效運轉的計畫。在我看來，梁先生似乎完全致力於為香港人創造一個美好的未來。
I must thank all those who contributed to the success of the dinner gathering at Tuen Mun on the 3rd August 2011 as without their great help and support, the dinner would not have been so successful.
Over 1,200 people were invited to the gathering which included local villagers, residents of Tuen Mun and family and friends who travelled from afar to attend the dinner and up to 127 tables were filled. A simple but concise ceremony started promptly at 8:00pm with dinner served right away. After the first course was served, the entertainment immediately began. Apart from the usual music contributed by guest singers, we also introduced a change to the program by staging a talk show, an idea which I borrowed straight from the David Letterman Show. The talk show covered four themes, i.e. the history; spirit; treasures and goals of Tuen Mun. In this event, more than twenty distinguished guests were invited on to the stage and they talked about their invaluable experience with the audience.
Absolute attention was given to the Honorable Mr. Leung Chun-ying who graced us with his presence and talked about his newly released book, “Running Towards the Future”. The atmosphere reached new heights when the villagers and residents queued up with his new book for his autograph. Mr. Leung said in resolute term that he would review the current small house policy seriously which has been introduced for almost 40 years now so that it would be an even more efficient scheme to run and operate in the near future. For me, he appeared to be fully committed in creating a better future and to serve the people in Hong Kong.
