黎智英的下半生

司法機構網站在2月6日發出通告，黎智英以及八名認罪被告將在明早判刑。根據《香港國安法》，「勾結外國或者境外勢力危害國家安全罪」最高刑罰為終身監禁。

我相信全港市民都引頸以待良久，很想知道這位塗毒香港社會多年，在「黑暴」期間推波助瀾、勾結外力、公然挑戰國家底線的亂港分子，現年78歲的黎智英最终命運究竟會是怎樣呢？

事實上黎智英與其他幾名被告的審訊也纠结很久。回想他在 2020 年 12 月起還押至今已有五年，其間案件由2023 年 12 月 18 日開審，由 三 名「國安法官」審理半年有多，直至2024 年 7 月 25 日，法庭裁定所有控罪表證成立。然後被告作供，又花了整整一年有多，然後在 2025 年 8 月才進行結案陳詞。高等法院於2025 年 12 月 16 日裁定黎智英兩項「串謀勾結外國勢力」罪，以及一項「串謀發布煽動刊物」罪成立。各被告在2026年1月 13 日完成兩日求情，前前後後搞足兩年有多，單單浪費了很多人力物力和司法資源，不管他本人有悔意與否，這就已經罪不可恕了！

黎智英不僅是煽亂分子的頭號黑手，更是破壞香港繁榮穩定的罪魁禍首，理應依法重判、絕不姑息。

依法治港是香港的根本，國安法正是守護這片土地的護城牆。黎智英的落網與定罪，正是國安法威嚴的最佳體現，亦向世界清晰昭示：任何人膽敢危害國家安全，終將付出沉重代價。事實證明，國安法實施以來，亂象不再、香港重回正軌，這不是偶然，而是中央與特區政府堅定維護國安的必然成果。

相信全港市民都會全力支持特區政府及執法機關依法辦事，支持法庭秉公審理、還社會公道。法律面前無特權、無例外，唯有公義彰顯，香港方能長治久安、市民得以安寧。

Jimmy Lai's Remaining Life

The Judiciary website issued a notice on February 6 stating that Jimmy Lai and eight defendants who have pleaded guilty will be sentenced on February 9 morning. Under the National Security Law of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (the National Security Law), the maximum penalty for the crime of colluding with foreign or external forces to endanger national security is life imprisonment.

I believe the entire Hong Kong public has been eagerly awaiting this moment for a long time, eager to learn the ultimate fate of the 78-year-old Jimmy Lai—a troublemaker who has poisoned Hong Kong society for years, fanned the flames during the social unrest, colluded with external forces, and openly challenged national red lines.

In fact, the trial of Jimmy Lai and several other defendants has been a protracted process. He has been in remand since December 2020, a period of five years to date. The trial of the case commenced on December 18, 2023, and was heard by three national security judges for more than six months until July 25, 2024, when the court ruled that there was a prima facie case against all the accused on the charges laid. The defendants then gave their testimonies, which took more than a full year, and closing submissions were only made in August 2025. On December 16, 2025, the High Court convicted Jimmy Lai of two counts of conspiracy to collude with foreign forces and one count of conspiracy to publish seditious publications. Mitigation submissions for all defendants were completed over two days on January 13, 2026. The entire process has dragged on for more than two years, squandering a tremendous amount of resources, especially the judicial resources. Regardless of whether he shows remorse or not, these acts are inexcusable.

Jimmy Lai is not only the mastermind behind the agitators but also the chief culprit who has undermined Hong Kong's prosperity and stability. He deserves a severe sentence in accordance with the law, with no mercy shown.

The value of law is the cornerstone of the SAR, and the National Security Law is the protective ringfence safeguarding the city. Jimmy Lai's arrest and conviction are the most compelling demonstration of the authority of the National Security Law, and they send a clear message to the world: anyone who dares to endanger national security will ultimately pay a heavy price. Facts have proven that since the implementation of the National Security Law, social chaos has ceased and Hong Kong has returned to the right track. This is no accident, but an inevitable outcome of the firm efforts by the Central People’s Government and the HKSAR Government to safeguard national security.

It is believed that the entire Hong Kong public will fully support the HKSAR Government and law enforcement agencies in acting in accordance with the law, and support the courts in conducting fair trials to uphold the justice for the society. There are no privileges or exceptions before the law. Only when justice is upheld can Hong Kong enjoy long-term stability and its people live in peace.

As for Jimmy Lai's sentence February 9, let's have a little guess: those who correctly predict a life sentence win the grand prize; those who guess 15 years or more win the second prize; those who pick 10 to 15 years win the third prize; and anyone who guesses less than 10 years—a slap on the wrist for yourself.
